HARTFORD- In a show of support and commitment to keep Sikorsky and their jobs in the state and region State Rep. Dave Yaccarino (R-87) co-sponsored a bipartisan legislative agreement that the State of Connecticut and parent company Lockheed Martin negotiated to keep Sikorsky headquartered and building helicopters in Connecticut through 2042.

Under the agreement, Lockheed Martin will receive $50 million or $100 million in sales and use tax offsets and payroll tax credits depending on if the Pentagon

Bill Would Implement Pilot Peer Navigator Program

HARTFORD – State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87) co-sponsored and voted in favor of HB 5430 “An Act Concerning Opioids,” which would update existing laws affecting opioid abuse, prevention, and treatment.

Among the changes in the bill are allowing for mobile treatment programs, adding more non-opioid treatments to the list of options practitioners must provide their patients, and amends the definition of “drug paraphernalia” to allow individuals

The federal government yesterday released a website allowing households across Connecticut and the country to order free COVID-19 rapid tests for delivery by visiting: https://www.covidtests.gov/. Just click on the website link, input your information and address, and confirm for four free COVID-19 rapid tests to be delivered through the post office. These test kits are expected to be shipped in late January.

State Representative Dave Yaccarino and State Senator Paul Cicarella joined The Salvation Army’s annual “Red Kettle Campaign” on December 14th outside of Stop & Shop in North Haven.

Over the course of an hour, the North Haven legislators joined Corey Smith, a representative from The Salvation Army in the time-honored tradition of ‘Ringing the Bell’, greeting holiday shoppers with Christmas cheer, and handing out candy canes.

“The holiday season is considered a time of gift-giving,” said Rep. Yaccarino.
