An Afternoon at the Preston Public Library

On Saturday, the Preston Public Library held another fun and educational program where kids got to hold and pet different animals while learning all about them.

There were Guinea pigs, bunnies, and naked neck chickens. I made a new friend, Carlos the Chinchilla.

Carlos is a rescue and comes from the Andes Mountains of Chile. They do not like the heat and roll around in volcanic ash to cool off in their natural habitat. Carlos has also been under a lot of stress lately because “his wife” is pregnant

On November 16th , I along with some of my Northeast Delegation colleagues, had the opportunity to celebrate Diane Manning, a lifelong resident of Griswold. Diane was featured for her 40 years of excellence at United Services. Over her decades of tireless service to our community, Diane has been a true leader as a voice for behavioral health in our state.

On November 8th, I participated in the Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee Informational Hearing. We had the opportunity to hear from our veterans, and others who were advocating on their behalf.

Their input and suggestions will be a great help to us in raising bill concepts next session, to address the needs of our veterans here in Connecticut.

On Wednesday, November 8th, there will be an Informational Public Hearing will be hosted by the Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee, at the Legislative Office Building, Room 2C, from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M.

All Connecticut veterans, military personnel, advocates, and their loved ones are invited to share issues or concerns related to veterans and military affairs in our state.

You are encouraged to participate in this hearing if you have any comments or concerns with state policies that impact veterans

State Representative Brian Lanoue to Undergo Thyroid Surgery on September 25th

HARTFORD – On Friday, State Representative Brian Lanoue (R-45), announced that he will be undergoing thyroid surgery on September 25th. Ledyard Town Hall Wrap-Up

We had a great turnout on Tuesday evening in Ledyard! I was happy to be joined by State Representative Greg Howard, Mayor Fred Allyn,  and constituents from across our districts.

I provided an update on a few pieces of legislation that we worked hard to get across the finish line. Including securing funding for our state to do soil testing for PFAS, which will be very helpful to farmers across our district and state. LEDYARD- State Reps. Greg Howard (R-43) and Brian Lanoue (R-45) will be hosting a legislative wrap-up for residents of the 43rd and 45th General Assembly Districts, on Tuesday, July 18.
