Honoring Our Veterans

Posted on November 16, 2023

On November 8th, I participated in the Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee Informational Hearing. We had the opportunity to hear from our veterans, and others who were advocating on their behalf.

Their input and suggestions will be a great help to us in raising bill concepts next session, to address the needs of our veterans here in Connecticut.

I want to thank our veterans here in Connecticut, and across the country for their service. Without them, we would not have the opportunities in our country that we do.

On November 11th, there was such a beautiful Veteran’s Day Ceremony in Veterans Memorial Park in Jewett City. It was great seeing so many who served during the different eras, as well as the residents who came out to honor those individuals who served. It was an honor for me to be asked to release the white dove, a symbol for hope and eternal peace in the world and to honor all our veterans, both living and who passed on.

May God bless our veterans and grant his peace throughout the world.
