HARTFORD – State Representative Lezlye Zupkus will join three other House Republican colleagues as a Deputy Leader at Large under the leadership of House Republican Leader Themis Klarides starting on January 9th when the 2019 Legislative Session will begin. A Deputy Leader at Large is one of the highest leadership positions in the House Republican Caucus.
“I am honored to receive this promotion from House Republican Leader Themis Klarides,” said Rep. Zupkus. “I have served on a number of committees and in different leadership roles and will use my experience to help move our caucus strategy forward.”
In addition, Rep. Zupkus will serve on the Appropriations, Environment and Internship Committees.
“We need to stay focused on fixing our economy,” added Rep. Zupkus. “The only way we start attracting employers and residents is by stabilizing and creating a predictable economy.”
