HARTFORD – State Rep. Kurt Vail continued his service on the Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee this session as Ranking Member. The Ranking Member is the highest-serving member to the committee of the legislature’s minority party. HARTFORD – The last full week of April is nationally recognized as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW). SOMERS – State Rep. Kurt Vail (R-Stafford) was at the Hometown Kitchen in Somers on Thursday morning to meet with residents of the 52nd District and to answer questions about the ongoing legislative session. The Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in Room 2C of the LOB and via Zoom.  The committee will hear testimony on the following bill:

  • H.B. 6887 – AN ACT CONCERNING ADDITIONAL LEGAL PROTECTIONS FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

HARTFORD – The clocks have sprung forward an hour, marking the first time change of the 2023 calendar year. The clocks will be set back an hour on Sunday, November 5th, at 2:00 a.m. Recently, WTNH provided coverage of this subject matter and its impact on Connecticut residents.
