HARTFORD – Stafford’s John Mordasky, who proudly served the 52nd District for 22 years and served in the United States Army during World War II, recently passed away on April 1, 2023. During the House Session on Wednesday, Stafford’s current State Representative, Kurt Vail, took a few moments to recognize the contributions of Mordasky.

“John served his state and country proudly, gaining mutual respect from members on both sides of the political aisle. If there were to be a Mount Rushmore of Stafford’s greats, John would surely be on it. After his tenure at the state legislature was complete, he was known for his work as a farmer, electrician, and mechanic. Our community is forever grateful to John’s commitment to public service and statesmanship,” said Vail.
