Local Legislators to Hold Virtual Informational Forum on Proposed Zoning Legislation

State Representatives Tony D’Amelio (R-71), David Labriola (R-131), Rosa Rebimbas (R-70), Joe Polletta (R-68) and Cindy Harrison (R-69), with State Senator Eric Berthel (R-32), will be co-hosting an “Informational Forum on the Impact of Pending Legislation on Local Zoning, Land Use and Affordable Housing” on Monday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. via Facebook Live.

The forum, which will feature guest panelists and Planning & Development Committee Ranking Members, State Representative Joe Zullo and State Senator Tony Hwang, will be broadcast on Facebook Live from the House Republican page – fb.com/CTHouseGOP.

This Informational Forum is designed to engage residents and increase awareness of proposed legislation that will impact our local communities, including HB 6611 (Fair Share Housing), SB 1024 (Insiders Bill), HB 6107 (State Enabled Zoning CGS 8-2) and SB 172 (Statewide Property Tax). Each of these measures could impact current law, including CGS 8-30g (Affordable Housing Land Use Appeal).
