Distracted driving is a problem, but it doesn’t have to be. Every driver has the ability to end this dangerous practice and provide increased safety for other drivers and pedestrians. Putting cell phones down, keeping your eyes on the road and maintaining proper speed and following distances will dramatically cut down on crashes.

State Representative Kathleen McCarty joined her colleagues on the Women’s Bipartisan Caucus in the Connecticut General Assembly to unveil the group’s 2023 legislative priorities during a press conference Wednesday at the State Capitol.

The list of bills includes:

  • HB 6273: Aims to decrease the gender wage gap by requiring employers to disclose salary ranges on public and internal job postings
