Safety Improvement Project on Various Limited and Non-Limited Access Roadways

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that a safety improvement project consisting of epoxy pavement-marking applications will be performed on various limited and non-limited access roadways in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut beginning on Sunday evening, May 21, 2023, through Saturday morning, September 30, 2023.
Holiday Schedule
Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, May 26, 2023, and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2023, due to the Memorial Day holiday.
Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, June 30, 2023, and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, July 5, 2023, due to the July 4 Independence Day holiday.
Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, August 1, 2023, and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 5, 2023, due to the Labor Day holiday.
Lane Closure Info:
This moving operation will use crash attenuator vehicles. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone as needed. One state trooper will be used on the limited access roadways and two or more vendor vehicles with flashing arrows will be spaced behind the marking machine. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday evenings – Saturday mornings).
Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
