Safety Improvement Project, I-91 Northbound in Wallingford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT)  is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on I-91 NB in Wallingford, beginning Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

This project consists of guiderail and attenuator installation on a 0.05 mile segment of I-91 NB in Wallingford. This work is scheduled to occur Wednesday, May 29, 2019 through Monday, June 3, 2019.

This project is included in the DOT’s safety improvement program and is being performed by Atlas Industrial Services.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-91 NB, between Exit 12 (Washington Ave) and Exit 14 (Woodhouse Ave) in Wallingford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
