Zullo added that despite the benefits of this legislation, there is still more work to be done on holding criminals accountable and keeping our communities safe.

This year, Dahna Lara, of Tuttle School, was elected to the Connecticut’s Kid Governor Cabinet for her work in addressing the issue of littering in our state. In partnership with Clean UP East Haven, we will be heading to Hays School on April 20th from 9:00-10:30AM to collect litter and host an electronic waste drop-off to celebrate Earth Day, honor Dahna for her leadership, and recognize Jim Comisky for his many years of service to East Haven.

Early Voting 2024: What to Know

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Early voting was approved by Connecticut voters in 2022. During the 2023 legislative session, the General Assembly authorized in-person early voting for elections held after April 1, 2024. Under this schedule, the first election utilizing early voting will be the Presidential Preference Primary on April 2, 2024.

The early voting dates for this election have been modified to reflect the Good Friday holiday and Easter Sunday. Early Voting will be held Tuesday, March 26

Zullo Joins “Brian & Company” to Celebrate Success of First-Time Homebuyer Bill

Today I joined “Brian and Company” on WTIC Newstalk 1080to discuss House Bill 5167 – “An Act Concerning Property Tax Abatement for First-Time Homebuyers.”  In my proposal, I offer first-time homebuyers a $500 municipal tax abatement who apply for a loan through the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) for up to the first five years of home-ownership.

Last session, my bill found success in the House, but was put on hold in the Senate because of session deadlines.
