Keeping her annual tradition in honor of the holiday, State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) again collected and delivered dozens of adorable Valentine’s Day cards handmade by students at Spaulding Elementary School to first responders in Suffield.

Rep. Zawistowski hosted her second annual “Valentines for First Responders” event as a way to engage with elementary school students and to thank the brave men and women of the police, fire, and ambulance services for putting the community first. As in years’ past, Rep. Zawistowski hand-delivered the cards to the Suffield Police Department, Suffield Fire Department and Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association.

“Seeing the children’s beautiful and heartfelt card designs each year is a lot of fun, and their messages certainly help brighten the spirits of our police, fire and EMS teams,” Rep. Zawistowski said. “I want to thank the teachers and especially the children for always putting so much care and effort into these wonderful, positive messages every year.”

“I was delighted to help deliver a little love from Spaulding School students to Suffield’s First Responders for Valentines Day!”
