SUFFIELD – Mary Anne Zak, local writer for the Suffield Observer, received an official General Assembly citation yesterday from State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) congratulating her on the 100th meeting of the Suffield Polish Heritage Society, which she established in 2006. The society’s mission is to research, preserve and share the history, customs and traditions of the Polish heritage in the Town of Suffield.
“You have assured that the culture’s significant historical impact on our community will continue to be remembered for years to come. Sto lat (One hundred years)!” said Rep. Zawistowski of Mary’s long-lived devotion.
