As part of Read Across America events, Rep. Zawistowski had the honor of promoting literacy and the joy of books and reading with students from Mrs. Brenna Boyland’s 4th grade class at McAlister Intermediate School.
She read After the Fall by Dan Santat, followed by The Widow’s Broom by Chris Van Allsburg, which the children loved.
They also spent a few minutes discussing her role as a state legislator and how the work done in Hartford affects the people of the district, and our state, especially the kids.
