The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that center line and shoulder rumble strip work will be performed on multiple routes, including in Suffield starting Monday, April 1, 2024 and continuing through Friday, October 11, 2024.
The affected local routes are:
- Route 585 – Suffield – Route 168 To Massachusetts State Line
- Route 159 – Suffield – Northbound Junction Route 190 To Massachusetts State Line
- Route 168 – Suffield – Service Road 585 (Babbs Road) To South Stone Street

Drivers should expect lane closures, and traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday, with rain dates set as Friday.
