Woodstock – Scam Jam in Woodstock was held on Monday night. It was a productive and informative evening focused on equipping our community with the tools and knowledge needed to guard against fraud and identity theft.
“I’m grateful for the thoughtful questions, meaningful conversations, and the strong turnout from residents who are committed to staying informed and protecting themselves and their neighbors,” said Rep. Vail.
A special thank you to Detective Matthew Hogan of the Connecticut State Police and Kelli Lefler from AARP-CT for their insightful presentations. Their expertise and the valuable resources they shared made a real impact and empowered attendees with practical ways to identify and avoid scams.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to Senator Jeff Gordon and Representative Pat Boyd for co-hosting this important event with me. Your partnership and continued dedication to public service are deeply appreciated.
Events like this reflect the strength of our community and the importance of working together to keep each other safe. Thank you again to all who participated.
