UNION – Join me in my latest edition of Behind the Vail, which brings us to Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union. The park is open year round and visitors have access to both Bigelow Pond and Mashapaug Lake. Opportunities for recreation are plentiful, with excellent multi-use trails for hiking and biking. There is also swimming, boating, and scuba diving.

I want to recognize the efforts of DEEP’s John Guglielmoni and Marcella Hube, who led me through the park. Their insight about the park was very helpful and I hope they’ve inspired you to stop by at some point this summer!
