Governor Ned Lamonthas announced $30 million in state grants through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) for 46 small towns across Connecticut! These funds will support a variety of infrastructure improvements — including road safety upgrades, emergency management improvements, pedestrian enhancements, and recreational facility upgrades.
Somers & Union Highlights • Somers will receive $191,224 in state funding for Connor’s Place Playground resurfacing, matched by $47,806 from the town. • Union will receive $120,000 in state funding for rehabilitation of Holland Road, matched by $24,000 from the town.
