Hartford—The House approved a two-year, $51 billion budget plan on a vote of 139-12. Among the highlights of this plan is a reduction of the income tax from 5% to 4.50% and 3% to 2%. The budget also increases the Earned Income Tax Credit for working families from 30.5% to 40%.

Hartford— The House has unanimously passed a comprehensive bill concerning resources and support services for persons with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD).

Hartford— Members of the Masuk High School Robotics team visited the state Capitol Wednesday for a School-Manufacturing Connection Fair. Rep. Tony Scott (R-112) met with members of the team and with Head Coach William McDonough about the recent Worlds Competition and next season’s project.

Hartford-The Connecticut House of Representatives approved a bill Thursday to implement early voting. State Representative Tony Scott (R-Monroe) voted against the proposal to have 14 days of early voting for a regular, general election after speaking with elections officials in the 112th District.
