Absentee Voting Executive Order

Yesterday, the Governor issued Executive Order 10E:

  • Absentee voting eligibility during COVID-19 pandemic: Permits all voters in any election, primary, or referendum held prior to May 20, 2021 to vote using an absentee ballot, citing the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason. This is similar to the order that permitted voters to use absentee ballots during elections held in 2020. Energy Assistance Programs

For those unaware, Ashford, Tolland and Willington offer energy assistance through the Connecticut Energy/Heat Assistance Program (CEAP/CHAP). This program pays benefits towards primary heat sources (utility or deliverable) and system cleaning for eligible homeowners and renters based on annual gross household income and household size [See Below].

For households with more than eight people, add $2,087 per additional person.

Rental and Utility Assistance…

Acting through the Department of Housing (DOH), the State of Connecticut is developing the UniteCT Program. This $235 million program will provide rental and utility payment assistance to qualified Connecticut households financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
