FEMA to Send Emergency Alert TEST to ALL TVs, Radios and Cell Phones Oct. 4th

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all consumer cell phones. The test message will display in either English or in Spanish, depending on the language settings

The Connecticut Humane Society was created by legislative charter but is a stand-alone 501(c)3 organization. They are in the process of replacing their Westport facility with the Wilton location.

Diaper Connections Status Report details how hospitals are partnering with the Diaper Bank of Connecticut to address health-related social needs

Coinciding with the start of National Diaper Need Awareness Week on September 18, the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) and the Diaper Bank of Connecticut (DBCT) are releasing the first ever Diaper Connections status report.

State Department of Education Announces Recipients of Summer Mental Health Grants for Schools and Camps

In a press release, the State Department of Education announced the state will release more than $4.5 million in funding for 48 school districts and summer camp programs across Connecticut that will be used to support the delivery of mental health services for students during the summer months over a three-year period.
