In an effort to learn more about the Department of Transportation, its departments and current and future projects, State Representative Cindy Harrison joined her colleagues for an open house and tour of the Newington facility.  The lawmakers and other stakeholders were able to meet directly with DOT officials and experts to discuss current and future construction taking place across the state.

All Connecticut Residents Can Sign Up for the Free Discount Card To Receive Savings on Medication

A Connecticut prescription drug discount card program established under Public Act 23-171 was launched on October 2, 2023, enabling all residents of the state to receive savings on certain prescription drugs.

$24.5 MILLION IN STATE GRANTS TO 60 SMALL TOWNS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS

FEMA to Send Emergency Alert TEST to ALL TVs, Radios and Cell Phones Oct. 4th

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all consumer cell phones. The test message will display in either English or in Spanish, depending on the language settings
