State Rep. Cindy Harrison attended the grand opening ribbon cutting for Southbury’s newest business, Hummus and Falafel!  The new eatery is located at 466 Heritage Rd, Southbury and ready to feed  your whole family.

During the event, Hummus and Falafel provided samples which Rep. Harrison said were delicious!

State Rep. Cindy Harrison had the honor of joining Lt. Governor Bysiewicz, Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Ronald Welch and local elected officials for two veteran recognition ceremonies honoring Southbury Korean-era and Vietnam-era Veterans on Wednesday, July 12th.

More than 90 veterans were honored during the Korean-era ceremony at 1:00pm, and the Vietnam-era ceremony at 4:00pm at the Southbury Senior Center.

During an assembly at Sarah Noble Intermediate School, State Representatives Bill Buckbee (R-67), Patrick Callahan (R-108) and Cindy Harrison (R-69) talked with 3^rd grade students about how a bill becomes a law. The three legislators presented a slideshow about the legislative process and then took questions from the students.

The lawmakers used a relatable example to engage the kids in the discussion of how a bill becomes a law by proposing free ice cream for all Connecticut students.
