At the end of November, the state’s Regulations Review Committee was set to meet and vote on a proposed regulatory package which would have phased in a ban on the sale of new gas-powered cars in Connecticut by 2035. The Lamont Administration withdrew the proposal, marking a setback in their quest for a gas car ban. The Governor and the legislative majority quickly expressed their intention to further pursue this issue in the upcoming legislative session.
