ROCKY HILL – Luke DeToro and Tyler Ghent, both of Portland, met with residents and staff of the Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill to present donated items they collected as part of their senior capstone project. Both young men have chosen to pursue opportunities with the armed forces, Ghent with the United States Navy and DeToro with the United State Marine Corps, and were able to speak to the veterans about their service. Rep. Carpino arranged the visit and accompanied Ghent and DeToro. “These young men have shown their commitment to the future and past of the United States Military. I commend Luke and Tyler for their compassion and dedication,” said Carpino.
