Irene Aftermath

Good riddance, Irene. I’ve toured the legislative district I represent and have seen the damage she caused, from flooding and downed wires to toppled trees. I’ve been in contact with Connecticut Light & Power representatives and they’re working as fast as possible to restore power to their customers. I’ve also been in contact with emergency management coordinators in Cromwell and Portland, as well as the chief elected officials in each of the three communities I represent to be certain that we’re coordinated in our post-storm efforts. I’d like to thank our first responders for their great work, and residents throughout the region for helping their friends and neighbors during this difficult time.
