Installation of Incident Management System to Begin Along Route 9 and Route 72 in Cromwell, Middletown, Berlin, Newington and New Britain

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced the commencement of work for the installation of an Incident Management System along Route 9 and Route 72 starting November 4th, 2021.

The project consists of installing infrastructure for the expansion of the Incident Management System along Route 9 and Route 72. The proposed system installations will include new cameras and communication equipment.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures on RT 9 Southbound & Northbound from Exit 11 to its northerly end and RT 72 Eastbound & Westbound Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, as well as any hours Saturday and Sunday.
