The Connecticut Insurance Department is seeking public comment on health insurance rate hike proposals during an informational public meeting on August 15th. The rate hike proposals have been filed by nine of Connecticut’s health insurance companies. To review the proposed rate increases, you can click here.
The public informational meeting will be held in a hybrid format, both in person at the Legislative Office Building, Hartford, and online. The meeting is open to the public and can be viewed on CT-N.
You have an opportunity to submit questions or provide comments specific to the rate filings that would impact you. Anyone wishing to speak virtually at the meeting via Zoom can sign up by sending an email to cid.RateFIlings@ct.gov with your name and written comments attached. Anyone who wants to speak in person can sign up on the morning of August 15th at the Legislative Office Building beginning at 8:30 A.M. The meeting will begin after the sign-up period, at 9:00 A.M.
