CROMWELL — Concerns over structural damage at Cromwell Gardens sent local government and public safety officials into action this morning, and Rep. Christie Carpino spent several hours at a shelter set up at Town Hall for displaced residents. Red Cross volunteers were on scene, and Carpino offered her support to the first selectman’s office as well as firefighters and emergency medical services personnel. Carpino during the last few days has kept close tabs on similar snow-triggered problems in her three-town district, visiting sites where buildings sustained damaged due to the weight of accumulated snow.
