Hartford – State Representative Christie Carpino joined a group of bipartisan legislators in a letter that was recently sent to the governor requesting immediate assistance in reducing the risk of EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) by deploying aerial spraying to terminate mosquitoes on a mass scale, regionally, throughout Connecticut.
The governor’s office has opted not to require DEEP to conduct regional spraying projects, however they have released a fact sheet, which can be viewed by clicking here. The fact sheet does address many of the concerns that have been previously put forth by the public.
Rep. Carpino will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
