CROMWELL- In an effort to meet local business owners and to learn about their industries in the district, State Rep. Christie Carpino toured Cromwell Growers, a wholesale florist and horticulturist on March 26th.
Cromwell Growers Inc. is the largest wholesaler of annual plants in Connecticut with acres of indoor greenhouses and automated irrigation system. They produce 1.2 million plants a day while employing 150 people.
Cromwell Growers provides services and also ships to hundreds of retail big box stores throughout Connecticut.
“I want to thank Cromwell Growers CEO Ed Bartolotta for taking time out of his busy day to give me a guided tour. I must say I was overwhelmed with the level of sophistication at the facility. Cromwell truly has a shining star in its midst,” said Rep. Carpino.
“We need to continue to support our local businesses and make sure state government is not an impediment,” said Rep. Carpino.
