Carpino Tours Ädelbrook Businesses
CROMWELL/MIDDLETOWN- State Representative Christie Carpino (32) visited two Connecticut Ädelbrook businesses run by the young adults of Ädelbrook.
Carpino visited both the Ädelbrook Bark-ery, a dog treat/gift store and Ädelbooks & More, a used bookstore both located at 100 Riverview Center in Middletown. Both stores are staffed with students from Adelbrook and are open to the public. The students helped her select pet treats and a book to read over the summer.
“Adelbrook is a wonderful organization—its mission, its people, and its impact speak volumes,” said Rep. Carpino. “Businesses run by young adults that learn differently not only showcase their incredible talents and potential, but also remind us that diversity of mind is a strength. These ventures bring purpose, pride, and real value to our communities.”
Carpino added,” I encourage other members of the community to support these businesses and engage with the students.”
Based in Cromwell, Connecticut Ädelbrook serves 300 children and young adults and their families with Autism and other behavioral and developmental challenges.
