Rocky Hill – State Representative Christie Carpino (Cromwell/Portland) joined Commissioner Sean Connolly, CT Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and Dr. Paula Talty, Cromwell Public Schools Superintendent, at the Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill on Tuesday morning to participate in “Valentines for Veterans.” Cromwell Public School students designed and decorated hundreds of valentines for the residents of the facility, which were disseminated on Valentine’s Day. “This is a small token of appreciation for what these men and women have done for our state and country. We wanted to let them know they are always in our hearts,” said Rep. Carpino, who hopes to make this event an annual tradition.
