Carpino Meets with Cromwell Residents

CROMWELL- On February 6th, Cromwell State Rep. Christie Carpino hosted a “Office Hours” at the Cromwell Town Hall. This is the latest example of her ongoing commitment to reaching out to constituents to keep them informed.
During the morning meet and greet, Rep. Carpino listened to Cromwell and Portland residents who shared their concerns on a variety of issues. A popular concern was the burden state government has put on businesses and individuals with the relentless spending as well as public and student safety. People also expressed concerns over possible firearms laws, the treatment of our mental health population and a proposal to re-institute tolls in the state.
“I always appreciate people taking the time to share their thoughts and concerns with us. They know I’m committed to having an open and honest dialogue with them on issues. People in my district are concerned about our state’s economy and about prospects for themselves and their families in terms of jobs, education, and retirement. As the legislative session moves forward, I hope that we will be able to work together as a General Assembly to make progress in improving the state’s financial condition, which is essential for addressing their concerns,” said Rep. Christie Carpino.
