PORTLAND- State Rep. Christie Carpino and State Sen. Art Linares presented newly crowned Miss USA and former Portland High School student Erin Brady with an official state citation for her recent achievement.
Brady was crowned Miss USA in Las Vegas on June 16. She is the first Connecticut resident to win the title. She is scheduled to compete for the Miss Universe title in Moscow in November.
“Miss Brady is an inspiration to thousands of Connecticut young women. Her beauty, ability to achieve personal goals, and your willingness to improve the lives of others through humanitarian efforts are all commendable. We congratulate you on this remarkable accomplishment,” said Rep. Carpino.
Erin Brady’s Miss USA win was the first for Connecticut in the 62 years of the program.
