Carpino Honors Portland EMS Resident

HARTFORD- State Rep. Christie Carpino (Cromwell & Portland) today participated in the annual State Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Awards ceremony at the State Capitol where Portland resident Robert Ziegler received an award.
Robert Ziegler is principal owner of Emergency Resource Management, LLC. Ziegler has over 34 years of active EMS as well as Fire Service experience in addition to administrative, supervisory and management experience on Regional, County and Statewide levels.
In conjunction with National Emergency Medical Services Week, the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Connecticut Regional EMS Councils honored state Emergency Medical Services providers for their outstanding service at the awards ceremony.
“Robert has dedicated his life and career to EMS, and his extensive experience. I congratulate him on this extraordinary accomplishment and thank him for keeping our community safe,” said Carpino.
National Emergency Medical Services Week, celebrated across the country each year during the third week of May, brings together local communities and emergency medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of the medical “front line.” This year’s theme is: “EMS: One mission. One team.”
