Carpino Helps Special Olympics with “Penguin Plunge” Fundraiser

MIDDLETOWN — Rep. Christie Carpino continued her long association with Special Olympics today, volunteering at a Penguin Plunge as judge of the annual fundraiser’s costume contest. More than 200 people braved the frigid waters of Crystal Lake today, raising thousands of dollars for Special Olympics Connecticut. Carpino also manned a registration table. She has been a Special Olympics volunteer for nearly a decade. For information about plunges, click here.
