CROMWELL- State Representative Christie Carpino hosted a shred your important and confidential documents event in the parking lot of the Cromwell Senior Center.
“I was happy I could provide this important service to our community. This helps protects residents from potential identity theft and the residents that came out today were very appreciative,” said Carpino.
The event was held for residents who had important documents they needed destroyed but did not want them to just be thrown into the trash.
The public was permitted to bring old utility bills, bank statements, medical records, cancelled checks, old tax returns or any document they wished to have permanently destroyed.
A representative from Infoshred LLC was on hand to securely destroy your sensitive materials so it would not end up in the wrong hands.
