CROMWELL — Rep. Christie Carpino was among folks who celebrated the grand opening today of ReStore, a new housewares shop whose profits benefit Middlesex Habitat for Humanity of Connecticut’s efforts to buy properties and build homes in the region. The Shunpike Road store employs just one paid staffer, manager Hector Aguilar, and relies on the efforts of roughly 100 volunteers to handle day-to-day tasks. Carpino provided folks from Habitat with a special citation from the General Assembly in recognition of their work. Caption (from left): State Sen. Paul Doyle, Rep.
