CROMWELL- On March 23rd, State Rep. Christie Carpino co-hosted a “Coffee with your Legislator” event at Melilli’s on Main St. in Cromwell.

During the meet and greet with early morning diners Rep. Carpino mostly listened to the frustration Cromwell residents have with their government. Many of those who spoke doing the event voiced concerns about how much government spends while continuing the raise their taxes, leaving them with smaller and smaller pay checks.

“I heard stories of state agencies giving my constituents the runaround. This is unacceptable and I plan to get to the bottom of these issues,” said Carpino.

“We need to get down to business, balance the budget and set some real spending priorities. We also need to permit government to work for the people instead of having them jump through many layers of bureaucracy to solve there problems,” said Carpino.

“It is my duty to make sure essential government services are funded while safeguarding Cromwell taxpayer dollars,” said Carpino.
