CROMWELL — Young golfers, participants in The First Tee of Connecticut program, eagerly accepted golf balls delivered today by State Rep. Christie Carpino (center.) Carpino held a two-month-long drive in both Cromwell and Portland that saw her collect gently-used golf equipment. The First Tee provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as confidence, perseverance and judgment through golf and character education. Roughly two-dozen children from this community and surrounding towns were at TPC River Highlands to greet Carpino.
