PORTLAND- State Representative Christie Carpino (32) visited Gildersleeve School in Portland on March 6th to celebrate Reading Across America Week.
“What a wonderful visit,” Rep. Carpino speaking about the second-grade teacher said, “When my kids were little, she read to them. Yesterday I had the chance to visit her classroom at Gildersleeve -on pajama day no less – and read to her kids.”
Carpino read “Maddi’s Fridge” by Lois Brandt to Ms. Winoski’s second grade class.
