State Rep. Christie Carpino and other Connecticut lawmakers celebrated the 1st Annual Golf Day at the State Capitol today. Legislators discussed the golf industry’s positive impact on the state’s economy with legislators.
Rep. Carpino has several golf facilities in her district which generate millions of dollars for the state of Connecticut.
Representatives from major golf associations and industries, including David Polk, the director of First Tee of Connecticut, and Nathan Grube, the tournament chairman for the Travelers Insurance Championship, and others are also expected to speak.
In addition to discussing the golf industry’s impact, Grube will provide updates on the 2012 Travelers tournament. Polk will also discuss updates on his organization’s major building project and 2012 programs.
