Friends and Neighbors,

With the summer season and patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July on the horizon, it is the perfect time to properly retire your worn, faded and tattered American flags as you prepare to put on fresh new displays of the Stars and Stripes.

In cooperation with the American legion, there will be four locations that residents can drop off their worn American flags for proper ceremonial disposal according to the U.S. Flag Code.  Drop-off locations will receive flags from May 14th until June 13th.

The drop-off locations are:

  • Columbia Town Hall, 323 Route 87, Columbia
  • Coventry Town Hall, 1712 Main Street, Coventry
  • Tolland Fire Department, 3 Rhodes Road, Tolland
  • Booth & Dimock Memorial Library, 1134 Main Street, Coventry

Best regards,
