(HARTFORD) — On Thursday, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-8) joined Kimberly O’Halloran, owner of CT Halo Transportation LLC – Transportation in Bolton, CT to testify in support of House Bill 5427, An Act Concerning Nonemergency Medical Transportation. In their testimony, they strongly supported the requirement of drivers in this field to apply for the F endorsement, which will identify criminal histories, accident histories, and other important information for consumers that is not currently required of competing rideshare drivers for Uber and Lyft.

Ackert stated, “There is a legitimate demand for transportation across our state and in order to safely transport residents for medical treatments, it’s necessary to require the F endorsement license to all drivers. Kim, who worked throughout the pandemic as a frontline worker, deserves more attention from the state to help her company thrive and meet these high demands safely.”
