I have teamed up with State Senator Norm Needleman to host a Portland Blood Drive on Thursday, October 5th, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at the Waverly Senior Center. The American Red Cross has recently reported a national blood shortage, making it even more important for you to participate in the upcoming drive in Portland.

You can sign-up for the drive by clicking here or scanning the QR code below.

“Let me win.

If I cannot win,

Let me be brave in the attempt.”

Sounds like an election day prayer, doesn’t it?

It’s not. It’s the Special Olympics Athlete oath, one I know well. It was one of the first things I moved into my legislative office, and a mantra more folks should embody.

I had the chance to rappel 30 plus stories down Mohegan Sun to raise money for a great cause. Well outside my comfort zone, but it was an organization I have been involved with even longer than my tenure in public service.
