HARTFORD— Rep. HARTFORD – Rep. Lezlye Zupkus, R-Prospect, recently shared her experiences as a lawmaker with students from TeenPact, which inspires youth and trains them to understand the political process, with an emphasis on liberty and the Christian faith.

Students come from across Connecticut, even the country, take part in the program, and this year’s class included a student from Rep. Zupkus’ former home state of Mississippi.

PROSPECT – In recognition of Women’s History Month, Rep. Lezlye Zupkus recently visited Long River Middle School in Prospect to congratulate Emma Ross and Ariella Raja, both sixth-grade students, who were winners of Rep. Zupkus’ essay contest.

The contest focused on “Important Women in Connecticut’s History and How Their Contributions to the State and Nation Affect Me.” Each student wrote about a notable woman, detailing their lives, accomplishments and what those contributions mean to them and Connecticut.
