Rep. Ackert Congratulates Student on Scholarship Award

HARTFORD- State Representative Tim Ackert (R-8) joined his fellow lawmakers, municipal officials, family and friends to acknowledge the hard work of students from around the state at an annual scholarship award ceremony sponsored by Comcast.

“I would like to thank Comcast for supporting these great students on their achievements and I’d like to also my most sincere congratulations to Ty Bulley, a Senior at Bolton High School on receiving this scholarship award,” Rep. Ackert said.

Bulley, joined 43 other Connecticut students who were selected to receive the 1,000 scholarship. One student is selected to receive an additional $9,000 as part of Founders Scholarship – instituted in honor of Ralph J. Roberts, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Comcast Corporation.

According to Comcast, they have awarded more than $700,000 in Leader sand Achievers Scholarships to more than 600 students in Connecticut since 2002.

Rep. Ackert also presented Bulley with a legislative citation to commemorate the event.
