Rep. Ackert Announces Annual Flag Collection
COVENTRY – In honor of Flag Day, State Rep. Tim Ackert (R-8), in cooperation with American Legion Post #52 and Knights of Columbus Council 4313, is hosting a flag collection for residents to retire their worn American flags at locations in Columbia and Coventry.

The U.S. Flag Code specifies that old American flags no longer in service must be properly disposed. Rep. Ackert encourages all constituents to come by and drop off flags to be honorably retired.
Collected flags will be retired during a ceremony on Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 138 Snake Hill Road, Coventry.
The event is free and open to the public.
