Zullo Achieves 100% ‘Pro-Business’ Voting Record According to CT’s Business Industry Association

HARTFORD – The Connecticut Business Industry Association (CBIA) recently released its 2021 legislative voting record scores. CBIA represents hundreds of businesses throughout Connecticut and advocates to the legislature on their behalf. The scores generated are based on the legislator’s support of the various topics endorsed by CBIA. State Rep. Joe Zullo (R-East Haven) was recognized by the organization as having achieved a 100% ‘pro-business’ voting record.

Scheduled Lane Closures on Bridge over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a single-lane closure on Interstate 95 (I-95) Northbound and Southbound over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven beginning October 15…

The project consists of rehabilitating the existing bridge and roadway over Lake Saltonstall. Improvements include bridge deck repair, joint replacement, and repaving both Northbound and Southbound Lanes of I-95 between Exits 52-53. Traffic will be impacted for only a 2-week timeframe instead of an 8-week duration

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is domestic violence awareness month. Advocacy efforts to decrease incidences of domestic violence have made a significantly positive impact on how the legislature has responded to this issue. Consequently, the state continues to make progress in curbing incidences of domestic violence.

Sales Tax Free Week Begins Sunday, August 15

Connecticut will continue its tradition of a Tax Free Week beginning on Sunday, August 15, and ending on Saturday, August 21. This will be the 21st Tax Free Week to take place in the Nutmeg State.

During the one-week tax exemption period, purchases of clothing or footwear costing less than $100 per item will not be subject to Connecticut sales tax. The exclusion applies to clothing sales made by Connecticut retailers (and out-of-state retailers) to Connecticut customers.
