HARTFORD – The Connecticut Business Industry Association (CBIA) recently released its 2021 legislative voting record scores. CBIA represents hundreds of businesses throughout Connecticut and advocates to the legislature on their behalf. The scores generated are based on the legislator’s support of the various topics endorsed by CBIA. State Rep. The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a single-lane closure on Interstate 95 (I-95) Northbound and Southbound over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven beginning October 15…

The project consists of rehabilitating the existing bridge and roadway over Lake Saltonstall. Improvements include bridge deck repair, joint replacement, and repaving both Northbound and Southbound Lanes of I-95 between Exits 52-53. Traffic will be impacted for only a 2-week timeframe instead of an 8-week duration…

Connecticut will continue its tradition of a ‘Tax Free Week‘ beginning on Sunday, August 15, and ending on Saturday, August 21. This will be the 21^st Tax Free Week to take place in the Nutmeg State.

During the one-week tax exemption period, purchases of clothing or footwear costing less than $100 per item will not be subject to Connecticut sales tax. The exclusion applies to clothing sales made by Connecticut retailers (and out-of-state retailers) to Connecticut customers.
